We originally planned on spending a relatively large portion of our time in South East Asia, approximately two months.  Our South East Asian adventure was to include Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Laos.  Scott has been fascinated with the culture in South East Asia for quite some time and had even planned to travel here several times (which all ended up having to be cancelled for one reason or another).  So we decided to give these countries their long overdue visit. However, due to the typhoon that hit SE Asia our travel plans had to change some.  We did spend quite a bit of time in Thailand and made a brief trip to Vietnam, but unfortunately were unable to make it to Cambodia and Laos.  I guess we will just have to start planning another trip. 😉
